Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you and your families are well.
Pupils have been settled on the whole and focused on their learning. I have enjoyed visiting their lessons and asking them about their learning. My highlights of the week were watching Year 7 in their problem solving lesson. It was great to see the group collaborating and exercising their resilience when working out time differences across the world and time zones. I also enjoyed watching the Yr10 GCSE Music group perform 'Free Falling', there was so much talent in the practice room it gave me goosebumps. Yr 11 have attended extra enhancement sessions during tutor time, breaks and after school, the majority are focused and revising hard for their last set of mocks next month.
We have purchased tickets to watch the international stage show SIX at The Kings Theatre in Portsmouth on April 2nd 2025. The total cost of the ticket and travel is £50, we have 27 tickets. If your child would like to sign up, please can you complete the following link.

It was great to see so many Year 10 parents and carers on Thursday night. Many thanks for your useful feedback.
Many thanks to parents and carers for working with us on the parking situation I explained earlier in the week. The car parking area feels much safer as a result, many thanks.
I would like to hold a parents and carers consultation meeting to talk through possible solutions to some of our transportation issues on some of our bus routes. If you'd like to come along, please email me to confirm. Once I have numbers, I will send a date out for us to come together before half-term.
Danebury had a busy week with sporting fixtures. Our U16 Boys Basketball Team played against Kings School, who are unbeaten this season. Well done to each member of the team. We are so proud of you. Great resilience, teamwork and skills were demonstrated. We also had a great turnout at Netball club. It is brilliant to see the Danebury squad growing week by week. Our Year 8 Football team narrowly lost a thrilling encounter against Rookwood 2-1. A brilliant battle and some great performances throughout the team!
After what feels like an eternity of trying, we are finally Facebook official! Please follow our new Danebury School Facebook page to follow us on our journey. It's the start of an exciting chapter for us! Facebook
Have a good weekend.
