Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you're well.
As we reach the end of another busy and rewarding term at Danebury School, I want to take a moment to celebrate the fantastic progress our pupils have made. Across the school, we have seen a noticeable and sustained improvement in attitude to learning, achievement, and attendance. These gains don’t happen by accident—they are the result of hard work from our pupils, dedication from our staff, and the consistent support you provide at home. Thank you for everything you do to help your children thrive.
Well done to our LORIC charity group, who have run different activities every day this week to raise money for Cancer Research, Bingo and the Easter Egg Hunt were very popular. It's lovely to see such kindness in wanting to help others who are less fortunate.
A special mention goes to our Year 11 pupils, who continue to show real determination as they prepare for their upcoming exams. We look forward to welcoming many of them back for Easter Revision School during the second week of the holiday. These sessions make a genuine difference, and we are proud of the commitment they are showing.
Meanwhile, a very excited group of pupils (and staff) have hit the slopes in Italy this afternoon. We wish them a fantastic trip full of new experiences, safe skiing, and memories that will last a lifetime.
As we head into the break, I hope all our families enjoy some well-earned rest. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 13th April, refreshed and ready for the summer term. A reminder that pupils must return in full school uniform. Trainers are not permitted unless accompanied by a medical note from a doctor.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Have a wonderful holiday.
Warm wishes
Nicky Goodridge
