Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you've had a good week; we've had a jam-packed one and lots to be thankful for.
Year 11 are flying through their GCSE's, they are so nearly there, this time next week, they will all be over and the celebrations will be in full swing at our Prom at Norton Park Hotel.
As Year 11 move onto pastures new, it's time to look to the next generation at Danebury. This week we've held two very successful Year 5 Taster events; it was great to meet so many prospective pupils with their parents and carers. We look forward to our next one on 26th June.
On Monday our Sports Leaders went to Kings Somborne Primary to help with their Sports Day, on Wednesday we hosted sports events for King Somborne Year 3&4 pupils, on Friday our Sports Leaders ran sporting events at Winterborne Earls Primary School. In addition, our Community Ambassadors visited Winterborne Earls on Wednesday and ran sporting events for them. A huge thanks to all our Pupil Ambassadors who represented Danebury so brilliantly this week.
We are to keen to build strong relationships with our cluster schools, Mr Thomas and I are visiting our Primary feeder school at the moment, this year we are welcoming pupils from a wider area, especially from the villages between Stockbridge and Salisbury, this is such an encouraging sign of our growth as a school. It's an absolute privilege to watch our pupils grow in confidence and independence, leading events like these are truly empowering for them.
Our Year 9 options process is nearly completed; we will be meeting with pupils by the end of next week.
I hope you have a great weekend.
Nicky Goodridge.
