This morning, Year 7 had a special assembly celebrating reading. All students were given a copy of the novel: October October. These are gifts and we hope the students will enjoy the story. The students will be studying 'October October' in English as their next unit of wok, it is imperative that all students have the copies of their novels in their bags to use in the lessons. We will be trying out lots of immersive reading strategies, such as, 'Den Reading' and making use of our outside oracy circle to share ideas about the characters and developments in the plot.
Students were also given information about applying to be a Pupil Libarian and a check-in on how to login to Accelerated Reader. All students have been encouraged to login to the platform this weekend and to start quizzing on books they have recently read.
Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading...
