Celebrating Languages in School! 🌍✨
The MFL department has lots of exciting events coming up, giving everyone the chance to explore the importance of languages and cultures.
Language Leaders Club
Every Tuesday in Room 4 at Break 2, our Language Leaders meet to plan fun activities for the school. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who loves languages to get involved, share ideas, and help bring cultural events to life. The club is all about teamwork, leadership, and spreading a passion for languages across the school community.
European Day of Languages – Thursday 25th September 2025
Next week, we’ll be celebrating the European Day of Languages with a range of interactive activities across school. Highlights include:
🎶 European Pop Music in the Hall (Break 2) – enjoy hits from across Europe!
✂️ Crafting Sessions – make your own bunting on the theme “Why are languages important?” (Break 1 in Room 3 and Break 2 in the Hall).
🎲 Outside Fun at the Tyre Circle – try the traditional French game of pétanque or have a go at hitting the piñata for a treat!
🕵️ Guess the Language Treasure Hunt in the Hall (Break 2).
👋 Greetings Challenge – surprise your teachers by greeting them in a different language!
These events are a great way to celebrate the power of communication, learn something new, and have fun at the same time. Don’t miss out – get involved and enjoy a fantastic celebration of languages!
