Year 8 had a great day at the Leonardo STEM day at the Army Flying Museum. We learnt how to design a helicopter (keeping within a budget!), a talk from Leonardo engineers, how to build a helicopter engine, tried out our paper helicopters on a wind table, had a go with the latest Leonardo robotics, seeing the world as an Apache pilot with VR headsets, had a go at driving iPad-controlled buggies and some free time to explore the museum. Thank you Leonardo and the Army Flying Museum for the opportunity!
