    Welcome to Danebury School

At Danebury we are very proud to have built a vibrant and compassionate culture where pupils feel safe, supported and empowered to achieve their personal best. We are incredibly lucky to be situated in an area with such natural beauty, we make the most of our rural location and our outdoor spaces, which include rolling fields, farm areas and allotments. Our environment positively impacts on our happiness, mental and physical health.

Year 9 have engaged with the imperial war museum to explore the Holocaust exhibition and question how and why we learn about the Holocaust. Following the experiences of the Jews exposed to nazi persecution, pupils have viewed artefacts and heard personal stories to connect with individual experiences. Afterward, pupils enjoyed the opportunity to view the larger exhibits of 20th century conflicts and a spot of souvenir shopping. #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

Many thanks for Mrs Port for a very interesting assembly about the different roles in the ambulance service. Thanks too to Jude for volunteering to be the casualty who could not get up from the floor. #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

Year 7 football Vs Wellington Acadamy Well, that was a tale of two halves. First half well and truly belonged to Wellington. We weren't at the races whatsoever. After a few stern words at half time, it was amazing to see the team react. It really was like watching a different team. First half 5-0 to them. Second half 1-0 to Danebury. Final score 5-1 to Wellington. Jake Mr Thomas #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

Our wonderful LORIC Community group have started their 'Generation Project'. Olivia, Sophia, Melody and Mrs James visited St. Giles in Winchester on Friday afternoon to sprinkle their magic and brighten up the residence days! This project is pupil driven, such a kind idea from the group. They hope to visit other care homes, if you know of any others who would benefit from a visit, please do get in contact with Mrs Goodridge. Well done team, we are super proud of you! #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

    Testimonials

  • I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for supporting and making my child's transition to Danebury school so faultless.
My child joined a week before summer holidays. Prior to her joining Danebury she was in a very unhappy place at school, upset , anxious, spending her break times alone in the toilets and missing lessons.
Since joining the Danebury she is happy , chatting smiling and enjoying school. She comes out of school smiling and happy and has made some really wonderful new friends who have been so lovely at including her it feels like she’s always been at the school.

So thank you for turning my child’s school life around she actually looks forward to school and doesn’t dread it anymore. She’s very happy and as a mum that’s all we want for our children. I have already recommended Danebury school to people I know and I will continue to do so.

  • Hi, I'm Makayla, I would love to share a part of my journey throughout Danebury with you.
Danebury has been through so many changes (for the better), immensely empowering every student and allowing them to exceed expectations.
Luckily, Danebury's new changes have encouraged me into becoming the person I am today! Unfortunately, during the beginning of my journey throughout Danebury, I immensely struggled meeting my potential.
I suffered from anxiety which stopped me from attending school and my lessons.
However, a colossal amount of encouragement from staff has led me into attending school every day, attending my lessons and achieving admirable grades in my mocks. Compounded by tremendous offers from colleges such as FRA (fashion retail college) in London.
I am endlessly appreciative of those who supported me throughout school, and I will never forget those who have shaped me into who I am today.

  • “I think our school has made a significant transition, enhancing our community feel and kind atmosphere. I think I will leave Danebury as an empowered young woman, with life skills from lessons and our LORIC program which I can carry on through which ever career path i choose”

  • I am so glad that I have stayed with this school, I can fully appreciate how the quality of teaching has improved and how much safter I feel with teachers. I now enjoy coming into Danebury and feel like I will be fully prepared to leave with skills I have learned here from PSHE lessons and the LORIC program

  • “Danebury school has improved so much as they have communicated and listened to students more since Mrs Goodridge has joined and she has found ways to apply it to our time at school so we are happy and enjoy our time here”

    Alisa

  • "Danebury school has improved in the academic game for all years throughout the school, much support is placed through our school and as we hope it will keep growing and expanding along with our Danebury family. After our school’s "rebirth" the effort Mrs Goodridge has put into creating a kind diverse economy here at Danebury and so far has succeeded. We really do thank Mrs Goodridge for improving our school massively and not just a learning environment but a little Danebury family.
