At Danebury we are very proud to have built a vibrant and compassionate culture where pupils feel safe, supported and empowered to achieve their personal best. We are incredibly lucky to be situated in an area with such natural beauty, we make the most of our rural location and our outdoor spaces, which include rolling fields, farm areas and allotments. Our environment positively impacts on our happiness, mental and physical health.

Today we were honoured to have the Royal Armoured Corps engagement team in for a fantastic presentation and two team building activities for the Year 9s. The students had to work in pairs and use their communication, problem solving and leadership skills. Great teamwork! #daneburyschool #teamdanebury

Tonight we hosted Testbourne U'16 Netball. A thrilling game which saw our 4 goal half time lead reduced to 2 at the of the 3rd quarter. Our girls composed themselves and started to take control again in the 4th quarter which saw us finish with a 15-10 winning score line. Again, thank you Mrs Lewis-Elgar for officiating and coaching. Well played girls! Mr Thomas #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

Book of the week! KEY STAGE 3 - The Light in Everything by Katya Balen Tommy likes things quiet, calm, and exactly the same. Zofia is loud, bold, and never afraid to speak her mind. When their families join together, the two are forced to share a home and a life they definitely didn't choose. As tempers rise and secrets surface, both must learn what bravery really looks like. A powerful, heartfelt story about change, courage, and finding light even when everything feels dark. KEY STAGE 4 - Ink by Alice Broadway In Saintstone, every action, mistake, and triumph is tattooed onto your skin forever. When Leora's father dies, she discovers that some of his marks have been erased and that means danger, secrets, and a truth powerful enough to tear her world apart. Ink is a gripping, unsettling story about identity, control, and what happens when you start to question the rules everyone else lives by. Come down to the library, enjoy your lunch and have a read! Open to all, everyday! #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for supporting and making my child's transition to Danebury school so faultless.
My child joined a week before summer holidays. Prior to her joining Danebury she was in a very unhappy place at school, upset , anxious, spending her break times alone in the toilets and missing lessons.
Since joining the Danebury she is happy , chatting smiling and enjoying school. She comes out of school smiling and happy and has made some really wonderful new friends who have been so lovely at including her it feels like she’s always been at the school.
So thank you for turning my child’s school life around she actually looks forward to school and doesn’t dread it anymore. She’s very happy and as a mum that’s all we want for our children. I have already recommended Danebury school to people I know and I will continue to do so.
Hi, I'm Makayla, I would love to share a part of my journey throughout Danebury with you.
Danebury has been through so many changes (for the better), immensely empowering every student and allowing them to exceed expectations.
Luckily, Danebury's new changes have encouraged me into becoming the person I am today! Unfortunately, during the beginning of my journey throughout Danebury, I immensely struggled meeting my potential.
I suffered from anxiety which stopped me from attending school and my lessons.
However, a colossal amount of encouragement from staff has led me into attending school every day, attending my lessons and achieving admirable grades in my mocks. Compounded by tremendous offers from colleges such as FRA (fashion retail college) in London.
I am endlessly appreciative of those who supported me throughout school, and I will never forget those who have shaped me into who I am today.
Year 11
“I think our school has made a significant transition, enhancing our community feel and kind atmosphere. I think I will leave Danebury as an empowered young woman, with life skills from lessons and our LORIC program which I can carry on through which ever career path i choose”
Year 11
I am so glad that I have stayed with this school, I can fully appreciate how the quality of teaching has improved and how much safter I feel with teachers. I now enjoy coming into Danebury and feel like I will be fully prepared to leave with skills I have learned here from PSHE lessons and the LORIC program
“Danebury school has improved so much as they have communicated and listened to students more since Mrs Goodridge has joined and she has found ways to apply it to our time at school so we are happy and enjoy our time here”
"Danebury school has improved in the academic game for all years throughout the school, much support is placed through our school and as we hope it will keep growing and expanding along with our Danebury family. After our school’s "rebirth" the effort Mrs Goodridge has put into creating a kind diverse economy here at Danebury and so far has succeeded. We really do thank Mrs Goodridge for improving our school massively and not just a learning environment but a little Danebury family.
“Danebury is a school that never fails to impress. Be it the humble, inclusive and joyful atmosphere. Or the tailored, challenging, productive lessons that always leave you enriched with new knowledge"
