Ellie and Dominic enjoyed a fantastic day at the Area 14 Eventing Qualifier, producing an excellent performance across all three phases to secure both an individual and team victory. The day began with dressage, where Ellie and Dominic delivered a superb test to score an impressive 20.6, putting them firmly into the lead of their section. It was a confident and polished performance that gave them the perfect start to the competition. Next came the show jumping phase. Despite a slight mistake resulting in 4 faults, Ellie and Dominic maintained their composure and remained in a strong position, dropping to 3rd place heading into the final phase. With everything still to play for, the pair tackled the cross-country course with determination. Riding positively and accurately, they produced a clear round, securing enough points to move back up the leaderboard and take 1st place in their section. The success didn't stop there. Ellie's result contributed to a brilliant overall team performance, with the team also taking the win and qualifying for the Regional Championships at Bicton, Devon, in August. It was a particularly impressive achievement given the extremely hot conditions throughout the day. Much of the time between phases was spent ensuring both ponies and riders stayed cool and hydrated, with plenty of washing off, water, and careful management in the summer heat. A fantastic day all round for Ellie and Dominic, showcasing excellent teamwork, resilience, and horsemanship. #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

Year 5 child only session was a great success! On Monday, we welcomed 60 students to experience what it's like to learn at Danebury school. Students were split into 4 groups and experienced 2 sessions. Due to the heat, we ensured they were well hydrated and in cooler areas of the school. The lessons were: Escape room in Maths. Under the microscope in Science. Taste and sensory testing with biscuits in Food Technology. Writing an opening to a spooky story in English. All students received a certificate, a pen or highlighter and a sweet for their impeccable behaviour and attitude to learning! It felt like these students all settled in well. It was like they were already part of our school community. We still have open evening and tours available in September if parents still want to see the site! All are welcome. Thank you to all parents, staff and primary schools for allowing your children / students to spend time with us! From Transition Team at Danebury #teamdanebury #daneburyschool

    Testimonials

  • I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for supporting and making my child's transition to Danebury school so faultless.
My child joined a week before summer holidays. Prior to her joining Danebury she was in a very unhappy place at school, upset , anxious, spending her break times alone in the toilets and missing lessons.
Since joining the Danebury she is happy , chatting smiling and enjoying school. She comes out of school smiling and happy and has made some really wonderful new friends who have been so lovely at including her it feels like she’s always been at the school.

So thank you for turning my child’s school life around she actually looks forward to school and doesn’t dread it anymore. She’s very happy and as a mum that’s all we want for our children. I have already recommended Danebury school to people I know and I will continue to do so.

  • Hi, I'm Makayla, I would love to share a part of my journey throughout Danebury with you.
Danebury has been through so many changes (for the better), immensely empowering every student and allowing them to exceed expectations.
Luckily, Danebury's new changes have encouraged me into becoming the person I am today! Unfortunately, during the beginning of my journey throughout Danebury, I immensely struggled meeting my potential.
I suffered from anxiety which stopped me from attending school and my lessons.
However, a colossal amount of encouragement from staff has led me into attending school every day, attending my lessons and achieving admirable grades in my mocks. Compounded by tremendous offers from colleges such as FRA (fashion retail college) in London.
I am endlessly appreciative of those who supported me throughout school, and I will never forget those who have shaped me into who I am today.

  • I am so glad that I have stayed with this school, I can fully appreciate how the quality of teaching has improved and how much safter I feel with teachers. I now enjoy coming into Danebury and feel like I will be fully prepared to leave with skills I have learned here from PSHE lessons and the LORIC program

  • “Danebury school has improved so much as they have communicated and listened to students more since Mrs Goodridge has joined and she has found ways to apply it to our time at school so we are happy and enjoy our time here”

    Alisa

  • "Danebury school has improved in the academic game for all years throughout the school, much support is placed through our school and as we hope it will keep growing and expanding along with our Danebury family. After our school’s "rebirth" the effort Mrs Goodridge has put into creating a kind diverse economy here at Danebury and so far has succeeded. We really do thank Mrs Goodridge for improving our school massively and not just a learning environment but a little Danebury family.

  • “Danebury is a school that never fails to impress. Be it the humble, inclusive and joyful atmosphere. Or the tailored, challenging, productive lessons that always leave you enriched with new knowledge"

  • School Closure - 25th June 2026

Despite our best efforts to make reasonable adjustments to keep our learning spaces as comfortable as possible for pupils and staff, the temperatures in some classrooms are unreasonable. Once again, we’ve reviewed our risk assessments and the forecast for tomorrow, and I do not feel we can safely operate the school. Therefore, Danebury will be closed tomorrow. Online learning will be provided remotely; teachers will provide appropriate work via Teams and or Arbor so that pupils can continue their education from home.
