Fabulous breakfast. Walk to Kyoto station and underground to Fushimi Inari Shrine, much anticipated and it did not disappoint, tori gates were awesome. Lunch at Kyoto station before boarding the bullet train back to Tokyo. Fabulous scenes of Japan's countryside and we knew mount Fuji was in the distance. Check back into our hotel and out for a Japanese 8 course meal....utterly delicious. We shamelessly raided the family mart for goodies before returning to pack our cases. One last day awaits tomorrow. #teamdanebury #daneburyschool #daneburyinjapan

Yesterday at 4pm the selection for Home Nations for British Dressage Youth was released! Luckily the competition is during the holidays in the summer on the 1st and 2nd August! A Danebury young person showing commitment, enthusiasm, resilience, dedication and determination to their goals! Fabulous buffet breakfast was enjoyed by all. We headed to the mountains and the Kiyomizu Dara Buddhist temple, a tranquil experience. Time for shopping in the beautiful old streets before tea ceremony, a wonderful experience. We were very lucky our guide was able to organise an unexpected visit to the imperial palace. From here to the hectic Nishiki Market packed with food and side streets full of shops. Dinner was a lively, fun meal of dumpling and fried chicken. The highlight of the day was the evening traditional gion performance. Lost of walking today, and lots of fun. #teamdanebury #daneburyschool #daneburyinjapan

British Dressage Youth Inter Regional Championships The British Dressage Youth Inter Regional Championships took place at Kelsall Hill, Cheshire, bringing together the very best young riders from across the country representing Scotland, North & West, North & East, South & East, South & West and Wales. The South & West squad travelled to Cheshire on Friday, making an early start to beat the soaring temperatures. For Ellie, the four-hour journey also provided the perfect opportunity to complete her online learning before the competition got underway. Having earned selection to represent the South & West region as part of a four-rider team, Ellie stepped up to the C Squad (14 and under) for the first time and produced two outstanding performances across the weekend. Saturday's first test saw Ellie deliver an impressive score of 89.250%, leaving her equal fourth after day one. Taking on board the judges' feedback, she returned to the arena on Sunday full of determination and produced an even stronger performance, scoring a superb 92.250%. Her combined scores secured an excellent 4th place overall from a highly competitive field of 33 riders from across the UK in her first year at this level. The success didn't stop there, with the South & West team she was in putting together a series of strong performances to claim a fantastic third-place team finish. Following such an impressive championship debut, attention now turns to the Home Nations selections in July, where Ellie will be hoping her outstanding performances have done enough to earn a coveted place. A brilliant weekend for both rider and team, showcasing the strength of young dressage talent within the South & West region.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for supporting and making my child's transition to Danebury school so faultless.
My child joined a week before summer holidays. Prior to her joining Danebury she was in a very unhappy place at school, upset , anxious, spending her break times alone in the toilets and missing lessons.
Since joining the Danebury she is happy , chatting smiling and enjoying school. She comes out of school smiling and happy and has made some really wonderful new friends who have been so lovely at including her it feels like she’s always been at the school.
So thank you for turning my child’s school life around she actually looks forward to school and doesn’t dread it anymore. She’s very happy and as a mum that’s all we want for our children. I have already recommended Danebury school to people I know and I will continue to do so.
Hi, I'm Makayla, I would love to share a part of my journey throughout Danebury with you.
Danebury has been through so many changes (for the better), immensely empowering every student and allowing them to exceed expectations.
Luckily, Danebury's new changes have encouraged me into becoming the person I am today! Unfortunately, during the beginning of my journey throughout Danebury, I immensely struggled meeting my potential.
I suffered from anxiety which stopped me from attending school and my lessons.
However, a colossal amount of encouragement from staff has led me into attending school every day, attending my lessons and achieving admirable grades in my mocks. Compounded by tremendous offers from colleges such as FRA (fashion retail college) in London.
I am endlessly appreciative of those who supported me throughout school, and I will never forget those who have shaped me into who I am today.
Year 11
“I think our school has made a significant transition, enhancing our community feel and kind atmosphere. I think I will leave Danebury as an empowered young woman, with life skills from lessons and our LORIC program which I can carry on through which ever career path i choose”
Year 11
I am so glad that I have stayed with this school, I can fully appreciate how the quality of teaching has improved and how much safter I feel with teachers. I now enjoy coming into Danebury and feel like I will be fully prepared to leave with skills I have learned here from PSHE lessons and the LORIC program
“Danebury school has improved so much as they have communicated and listened to students more since Mrs Goodridge has joined and she has found ways to apply it to our time at school so we are happy and enjoy our time here”
"Danebury school has improved in the academic game for all years throughout the school, much support is placed through our school and as we hope it will keep growing and expanding along with our Danebury family. After our school’s "rebirth" the effort Mrs Goodridge has put into creating a kind diverse economy here at Danebury and so far has succeeded. We really do thank Mrs Goodridge for improving our school massively and not just a learning environment but a little Danebury family.
“Danebury is a school that never fails to impress. Be it the humble, inclusive and joyful atmosphere. Or the tailored, challenging, productive lessons that always leave you enriched with new knowledge"
