Our Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) curriculum is bespoke to the needs of our school community.
It is delivered by RSHE ‘Champions’ in dedicated lessons. This is complimented by a whole school approach which sees RSHE addressed across subject areas such as science and PE, as well as enrichment workshops. The curriculum is regularly reviewed in light of safeguarding data, current events and input from stakeholders such as students and parents. Where topics are repeated, they are done so developmentally and at an age-appropriate stage.
Meeting the needs of all students, including those with SEND
Our curriculum is informed/adapted in relation to safeguarding data and the needs of our school community. Our lessons are differentiated and personalised to suit the needs of all our students. We are aware that some pupils are more vulnerable to exploitation, bullying and other issues due to the nature of their SEND and therefore work closely with our SENCO in their delivery.
